My sister’s face as she reads my darkside Johnathan posts.

Oh god, Vic, your face. It’s amazing. XD I’m going to poke it.
Also, you look rather dashing today.

Ivan ran his thumb over the gem over and over again as he sat upon the icy hillside that overlooked the small Russian town where he had finally found the ring. It had taken him four days but he’d be damned if he was going to propose with anything less than the perfect ring for Anna.
Propose. The word still sat heavy in his mouth and mind like thick molasses. He was going to propose to Anna. Actually, first he was going to speak to her ‘father’ about it, then arrange a surprise, then propose. He knew Antomry most likely would not bar the marriage but he was an old fashioned man and Ivan knew asking formally for his daughter’s hand would set him at ease. Ivan also knew how he wanted to propose, with the aid of his troop. Still…there was a nagging fear in his chest.
“Why aren’t you here, brother? You would know what to say.” the shadow said, voice deep with sorrow. Nikolai had been gone two weeks now and the feeling of having part of his heart carved out had not lessened. Nikolai would have set Ivan at ease in minutes, but he was no longer with Ivan. He was alone. Not truly, for he knew he had Anna and Jess and all of the others, but even then he felt like he was only half present.
That was the worry, he decided. Was he marrying Anna only to try and soothe the ache left in his soul, or did he truly want to be her husband? It gave him a nice cozy feeling when he thought that - “husband.” She would be his wife and he her husband. They would be a family. He had always wanted a family, even when he was still young and alive. Being an orphan made such things exotic and desirable he supposed. That wasn’t all he wanted to marry her for though.
It was the little things - everyone says that of course but it is true. The way she seemed to dance when she walked, as if she weighed no more than paper. How she delicately traced the creases and curves of both his flesh and his metal hand. Whenever she would walk with him in the quiet parts of the city on winter nights, with the lights of the plaza in her eyes…He couldn’t help but laugh to himself, in lieu of his brother laughing at his folly. It seemed his heart had made up his mind for him. Really there had been no doybt deep down, but a man about to undertake such a delicate matter as marriage was right to be nervous. He tucked the ring back into it’s box, which he slipped into his pocket before slipping into the dark, off to speak to Antomry.

Great. Now I’ve got Anna in here blubbering into her tea, wiping blood all over her sundress and burning her dinner cuz she’s too busy being all emotional.
Good job, you killed the vampire with your feels.
